Tips for successful payments at Telegram

  • AcceptedThrough @PremiumBot, your first price follows the country code of your Telegram phone number. Renewals are then priced in the currency of your card's country, and a local price needs a card issued in that country with a local billing address.
  • AcceptedIf a Premium charge is declined, add new payment details in Settings, then Telegram Premium, or the subscription is canceled. The new period keeps the original renewal date.
  • AcceptedEnter the billing name and address exactly as they appear on your Halocard.
  • AcceptedSet the card limit above the full amount, including any hold Telegram places at checkout.

Why do Telegram payments decline?

Telegram Premium is not available in your country
Telegram says local law, or a payment processor that does not support your country, can block Premium. There is no setting in the app that changes this.

Telegram payment FAQ

Is Telegram Premium cheaper through @PremiumBot?
Yes. Telegram says subscribing through @PremiumBot gives a discounted price, because those payments are not subject to Apple or Google fees. The bot works in the direct Android, Desktop and macOS apps. See the Telegram Premium FAQ.
How do I cancel Telegram Premium?
Cancel with the provider you paid. Send /stop to @PremiumBot. On Google Play, tap your avatar, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions. On iPhone, go to iOS Settings, then Apple ID Settings, then Subscriptions. Deleting your account or the app does not cancel it, per the Premium terms.
Why was I charged again for Telegram Premium?
Premium renews monthly or yearly on the payment method you chose until you or Telegram cancel it. Users in some regions also pay local tax on top. Both are in the Telegram Premium terms.
Can I get a refund on Telegram Premium?
Usually not. The Telegram Premium terms say charges are generally nonrefundable, and there is no partial refund or credit if you cancel a subscription early.
Can I pay for Telegram Premium with PayPal?
Telegram does not list PayPal. On Android, Google Play accepts PayPal saved to your Google account, according to Google Play's payment methods page.
