How to pay for Meta with Halocard

Halocard limits at Meta

  • Accepted with conditionsHalocard allows up to 40 transactions in 24 hours with advertising merchants (MCC 7311); the next one declines until the 24 hours pass.

01

Create a card for Meta in Halocard

In your Halocard dashboard, create a new card, name it Meta and set a limit that covers what you are about to pay.

02

Open Billing & payments and find Payment methods

In Meta Ads Manager or Meta Business Suite, go to Billing & payments. With one ad account, click Payment settings in the left menu. With several, pick the account under Accounts, then click Payment methods. You need admin or full control of the ad account.

03

Add the Halocard as a credit or debit card

Click Add payment method, choose Credit or debit card and click Next. Follow the on-screen steps to enter the card details and the billing postal code. Meta matches the postal code against the card's billing address.

04

Make it the default, or clear an amount due with Pay now

If more than one method is saved, set the Halocard as the default. If the account shows an amount due, click Pay now next to it in Payment settings, choose the card and confirm. The card is charged immediately and existing ads resume.

Tips for successful payments at Meta

  • AcceptedUse a login with admin or full control of the ad account. Other roles cannot add or change a payment method.
  • AcceptedDo not save the same card to more than 10 ad accounts. Meta may limit how many ad accounts can share one payment method.
  • AcceptedIf the card has a per-transaction cap, lower your payment threshold in Billing & payments so each charge stays under it.
  • AcceptedEnter the billing name and address exactly as they appear on your Halocard.

Why do Meta payments decline?

"Payment method not supported"
Check that the method is on Meta's accepted list for the ad account's country. Meta also limits how many ad accounts can share one payment method, so use a card that is not saved to more than 10 accounts.
"Charge is declined by your financial institution"
Confirm the card details are correct and update them if needed. If it still fails, the issuer declined it under its own rules; contact them or add another payment method.
"Charge is declined due to insufficient funds"
Make sure the card has room for the charge, then click Pay now under Payment methods to clear the balance, or add another payment method that covers the spend.
"Your credit card address can't be verified"
Enter the postal code exactly as it appears on the card's billing statement. If it still fails, ask the card issuer why they are not accepting the card on Facebook.

Meta payment FAQ

How do I pay for Facebook ads?
Add a payment method under Billing & payments in Meta Ads Manager, then run your ads. Meta charges that method automatically each time your spend reaches the payment threshold, and again on your monthly bill date for anything left over. You can also pay early at any time: click Pay now next to Amount due in Payment settings and the card is charged immediately.
What payment methods does Facebook Ads accept?
Meta lists credit cards and co-branded debit cards from Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, PayPal, and direct debit from a bank account. American Express works on automatic billing only. The options you see depend on the ad account's country and currency, which are set when the account is created.
Can I pay for Facebook ads with PayPal?
Yes. PayPal is on Meta's accepted payment list, in one of PayPal's accepted currencies. If you choose PayPal or a card when you create your first ad, and your bank supports recurring payments, Meta sets the account up for automatic payments.
Why was my Facebook ads payment declined?
When a charge fails, Meta pauses your ads and disables the ad account until the amount due is paid. Meta's failed payment article lists the usual causes: an unsupported method, an inactive card, a wrong expiry date, a decline by the card issuer, a connection error, or insufficient funds. Fix the card details or add another method, then click Pay now under Payment methods to clear the balance. Ads resume once it is paid.
What is the FACEBK charge on my card?
It is a Meta ads charge. Meta says the statement line begins with FACEBK* or FACEBOOK INC. followed by a 10-character reference number. Match that number under Billing & payments, then Payment activity, in Ads Manager. A small charge soon after you add a card is a temporary authorization that Meta voids; it should disappear within 3 to 5 business days.
