Open Tools, then Billing
Log in to TikTok Ads Manager, hover over the Tools tab and select Billing under Settings.

Click Add balance and pay with the card
On the Payment page, click Add balance and pay with the card. When the payment goes through, the new amount shows in your account balance.

Tips for successful payments at TikTok Ads
- AcceptedIf your ad account is owned by a Business Center, add the payment method and any balance in Business Center. Ads Manager does not let you add them for that account.
- AcceptedOn Automatic Payment, TikTok charges the card each time your spend reaches the billing threshold or the bill date, whichever comes first, so expect several charges a month.
- AcceptedChoose your billing option before you pay. You can move from Manual Payment to Automatic Payment or Monthly Invoicing, but TikTok does not let you move back to Manual Payment.
- AcceptedEnter the billing name and address exactly as they appear on your Halocard.
Why do TikTok Ads payments decline?
- The payment fails right after you enter the card
- Check the card details you entered in Ads Manager or Business Center, confirm the card has not expired, then try again.
- The card limit does not cover the invoice amount
- TikTok asks you to confirm the credit limit can cover the invoice. Make sure the card has room for the full amount, then pay again.
- The 3D Secure page does not load
- Turn off any VPN, pop-up blocker or browser extension, clear your cookies and cache, then retry in an incognito window or another browser.
- "User authentication was unsuccessful"
- Check that the cardholder name, email and address you entered are accurate and that the card supports 3D Secure. If it still fails, TikTok suggests another card or payment method, or contacting TikTok Business Support.

What payment methods does TikTok Ads accept?
Credit or debit cards and PayPal on every billing option. Accounts billed in USD can also use Venmo on Manual Payment and Monthly Invoicing, and Direct Debit on Monthly Invoicing. TikTok does not name card networks, and it does not allow a prepaid card for Automatic Payment.
Does TikTok Ads accept PayPal?
Yes. PayPal works on Manual Payment, Automatic Payment and Monthly Invoicing. Accounts billed in USD can also pay with Venmo on Manual Payment and Monthly Invoicing. TikTok lists both on its North America supported payment methods page.
How do I pay for TikTok ads?
TikTok has three billing options. With Manual Payment you add a balance before your ads run, and they stop when it runs out. Automatic Payment bills your card when you reach your billing threshold or bill date. Monthly Invoicing is a credit line paid within 30 days. Go to Tools, then Billing under Settings, to add a balance or change the option.
Why did TikTok Ads take $10 from my card?
When you add a payment method for Automatic Payment, TikTok checks that the card is valid by deducting at least $10, or the equivalent in local currency. It refunds that charge within 15 days. TikTok explains this in its How to set up automatic payment article.
Why did my TikTok Ads payment fail?
TikTok says most failures come from wrong payment details, a poor connection or the bank not authorizing the payment. Check the details, make sure the card is valid and its limit covers the invoice, clear your browser cache and turn off any VPN or pop-up blocker that could stop the 3D Secure page loading.
