While Halocard has successfully processed transactions at n8n, this isn't a guarantee of acceptance. Merchant acceptance can change at any time, and merchants can apply fraud and risk-based controls that prevent individual customers from using US-issued cards at checkout. We recommend using Halocard to make a test payment with n8n in your own situation to confirm acceptance.

Tips for successful payments at n8n

  • AcceptedPlan prices exclude taxes and duties, so the checkout total can be higher than the listed price.
  • AcceptedTop up Assistant or Gateway credits as the instance owner, from the Cloud admin dashboard, on an active paid subscription.
  • AcceptedKeep a working card saved on the subscription, because auto top-up charges the payment method saved there.
  • AcceptedEnter the billing name and address exactly as they appear on your Halocard.

Why do n8n payments decline?

Auto top-up turned itself off
If a top-up payment fails, n8n retries, and after the retries fail it turns auto top-up off and emails you. Fix the payment method saved on your subscription, then turn auto top-up back on.
Top up is missing during a free trial
Free trials include Assistant and Gateway credits but no top-ups. Upgrade to a paid plan to buy more credits.
Top up is missing for a team member
Only the instance owner can top up credits. Sign in as the instance owner and open the Cloud admin dashboard.

n8n payment FAQ

What should I do if n8n declines or doesn't support my card?
Pay with a Halocard instead. n8n accepts it, and as a US-issued Visa credit card held in US dollars it is accepted at checkouts that are strict about card type or country. Halocard is available for customers in the US and 120+ countries, so check that your country is supported, then make a card for n8n in minutes. See the countries Halocard supports.
Can I use a virtual card for n8n?
Yes. n8n accepts Halocard, a US-issued Visa credit card that works like a debit card. Make a card just for n8n and you are in full control: set a limit, lock it or cancel it whenever you like, without ever handing n8n your bank card.
How do I stop n8n charging me after I cancel?
The fastest way is to lock the Halocard you use for n8n. Halocard is a US-issued Visa credit card that gives you a separate card for each merchant, and locking one takes a couple of clicks in your Halocard dashboard. n8n can't charge that card again until you unlock it, so you stay in full control even when cancelling is slow or hard to find. To cancel with n8n as well, sign in to your n8n account and cancel the plan in its billing or subscription settings.
How do I try n8n without being charged when the trial ends?
Sign up with a Halocard. Halocard is a US-issued Visa credit card that gives you a separate card for each merchant, so make one just for the n8n trial and lock it once you have signed up. It takes a couple of clicks, and when the trial ends n8n can't charge you, so forgetting to cancel never costs you anything. If you decide to stay, unlock the card before the trial ends. About the n8n trial: The n8n Cloud trial needs no credit card. It lasts 14 days with Pro features, and if you do nothing it expires without any charge. A credit card is only required for the Business plan free trial.
How much does n8n Cloud cost?
On annual billing, the n8n pricing page shows Starter at $20 a month for 2.5K workflow executions and Pro at $50 a month for 10K executions (checked 2026-10-06). You can also pay by the month. Listed prices exclude taxes.
Is the n8n Business plan available on n8n Cloud?
Not yet. The pricing page says Business is self-hosted only, with a waitlist for the version hosted by n8n. After you subscribe and pay, n8n emails a license key to apply to your self-hosted instance.
Can I pay for n8n by invoice or wire transfer?
Yes, for the annual Business plan and the Enterprise plan. Annual Business customers can generate a contract through n8n's self-service DocuSign form, in dollars or euros, and the subscription starts once it is signed.
Why does my n8n charge show another company's name?
n8n uses a merchant of record to collect fees and taxes, and its terms say invoices and payments appear under that company's name. An earlier version of the terms named Paddle as the merchant of record.
