While Halocard has successfully processed transactions at Ticketmaster, this isn't a guarantee of acceptance. Merchant acceptance can change at any time, and merchants can apply fraud and risk-based controls that prevent individual customers from using US-issued cards at checkout. We recommend using Halocard to make a test payment with Ticketmaster in your own situation to confirm acceptance.

How to pay for Ticketmaster with Halocard

01

Create a card for Ticketmaster in Halocard

In your Halocard dashboard, create a new card, name it Ticketmaster and set a limit that covers what you are about to pay.

02

Save the card in your Ticketmaster Account

On ticketmaster.com, open My Profile, choose Billing Information and select Save new Payment Method under Payment Methods. In the app, tap My Account, then Saved Payment Methods under Preferences.

03

Pick your seats and go to checkout

Choose the event and seats, then select the saved card at checkout. One card pays for the order, and a Ticketmaster Gift Card can be applied alongside it.

04

Confirm the order in My Account

After you pay, open your order history to see the order status, and watch for the confirmation email.

Tips for successful payments at Ticketmaster

  • AcceptedSearch and buy in a single browser window. Ticketmaster says multiple windows may cause errors during purchase.
  • AcceptedTurn off any VPN, Apple Private Relay or browser extension before the sale, and use a personal network such as mobile data rather than shared office or public wifi.
  • AcceptedStay within the event's ticket limit, shown under More Info on the event page. It can count per person, per payment method or per household.
  • AcceptedAfter any error, check the order history in your Ticketmaster account first, and buy again only if no order or confirmation email appears.

Why do Ticketmaster payments decline?

"Your Payment Provider Has Declined This Transaction"
Ticketmaster advises re-entering the card details, trying a different payment method or contacting your card issuer. Check your order history first so you do not pay twice.
"Payment Declined Due to Invalid CVV"
Re-enter the security code and the expiration date exactly as they are on the card, then submit the payment again.
"Time's Up" or "Payment Has Failed"
Ticketmaster lists these as seat or timing errors rather than card errors. Select new seats, or complete the purchase without the items that are no longer available.
"We Need To Confirm It's You"
Ticketmaster pauses accounts when it detects unusual activity. Sign out, sign back in and complete the quick selfie and photo ID check, then continue to checkout.

Ticketmaster payment FAQ

What should I do if Ticketmaster declines or doesn't support my card?
Pay with a Halocard instead. Ticketmaster accepts it, and as a US-issued Visa credit card held in US dollars it is accepted at checkouts that are strict about card type or country. Halocard is available for customers in the US and 120+ countries, so check that your country is supported, then make a card for Ticketmaster in minutes. See the countries Halocard supports.
Can I use a virtual card for Ticketmaster?
Yes. Ticketmaster accepts Halocard, a US-issued Visa credit card that works like a debit card. Make a card just for Ticketmaster and you are in full control: set a limit, lock it or cancel it whenever you like, without ever handing Ticketmaster your bank card.
Can I keep my real card and address private from Ticketmaster?
Yes, with Halocard. Halocard is a US-issued Visa credit card that gives you a separate card for each merchant, so Ticketmaster only ever sees your Halocard, never your bank card. You choose the cardholder name and billing address on each card, so your home address stays out of Ticketmaster's records. If Ticketmaster is ever caught up in a data breach, cancel that one card and make a new one in seconds.
Does Ticketmaster accept PayPal?
Yes. Select PayPal at checkout on ticketmaster.com or in the Ticketmaster app, sign in to PayPal and you return to Ticketmaster to finish the order. Venmo works the same way in the app. For card-specific presales, such as Citi Cardmember presales, checkout offers only the required card.
Does Ticketmaster accept Apple Pay?
Yes, for standard tickets. Google Pay also works for some events through the Ticketmaster app on Android. Verified Resale tickets take another accepted method, because Apple Pay, Google Pay, Diners Club and Ticketmaster Gift Cards are excluded there.
Does Ticketmaster have a payment plan?
Yes, through Klarna. Eligible carts show Klarna at checkout, and Pay in 4 splits the total into four interest-free payments: the first when the order ships and the rest every two weeks. To sign up you need to be 18 or over, with a debit or credit card, a residential address and a phone that receives texts. Klarna may run a soft credit check.
Can I split a Ticketmaster payment between two cards?
Ticketmaster takes one card per transaction. You can apply a Ticketmaster Gift Card to the order alongside that card, and the card pays the rest.
Does Ticketmaster charge fees on resale tickets?
Yes. Resale tickets are priced by the reseller and carry resale service fees, which Ticketmaster says help pay for authenticating tickets before sale. Tickets sold through Face Value Exchange, where the artist caps resale prices, carry no Ticketmaster resale fees. Delivery fees and taxes can be added at checkout.
