While Halocard has successfully processed transactions at SeatGeek, this isn't a guarantee of acceptance. Merchant acceptance can change at any time, and merchants can apply fraud and risk-based controls that prevent individual customers from using US-issued cards at checkout. We recommend using Halocard to make a test payment with SeatGeek in your own situation to confirm acceptance.

Tips for successful payments at SeatGeek

  • AcceptedKeep your phone or inbox handy at checkout. SeatGeek may send a 6-digit one-time code that expires after 60 seconds.
  • AcceptedPut the whole order on one card. SeatGeek takes one payment method per order, and one eligible promo code can be added on top.
  • AcceptedCheck the checkout total, not only the listed price. Listed prices include mandatory fees, and taxes, delivery and any add-ons are added at checkout.
  • AcceptedStay within the event's purchase limit. SeatGeek can count tickets bought across several sessions or channels toward the same limit.

Why do SeatGeek payments decline?

Order fails when you submit payment
Re-enter your billing information and the card details, or try a different set of tickets. Clearing your browser cache or switching device can also help.
A pending charge after a failed order
SeatGeek places an authorization hold for each order attempt and voids it when an order fails. It usually drops off within 1 to 3 business days; your bank can release it sooner.
Order canceled after it was pending
A canceled order means the seller was unable to fulfill it. Choose another listing and place a new order, and check the Tickets section of your account for updates.
Affirm missing at checkout
Affirm appears only on eligible orders. Orders under $50, events abroad and paper or shipped tickets are ineligible, so pay with a card for those.

SeatGeek payment FAQ

What should I do if SeatGeek declines or doesn't support my card?
Pay with a Halocard instead. SeatGeek accepts it, and as a US-issued Visa credit card held in US dollars it is accepted at checkouts that are strict about card type or country. Halocard is available for customers in the US and 120+ countries, so check that your country is supported, then make a card for SeatGeek in minutes. See the countries Halocard supports.
Can I use a virtual card for SeatGeek?
Yes. SeatGeek accepts Halocard, a US-issued Visa credit card that works like a debit card. Make a card just for SeatGeek and you are in full control: set a limit, lock it or cancel it whenever you like, without ever handing SeatGeek your bank card.
Can I keep my real card and address private from SeatGeek?
Yes, with Halocard. Halocard is a US-issued Visa credit card that gives you a separate card for each merchant, so SeatGeek only ever sees your Halocard, never your bank card. You choose the cardholder name and billing address on each card, so your home address stays out of SeatGeek's records. If SeatGeek is ever caught up in a data breach, cancel that one card and make a new one in seconds.
Does SeatGeek accept PayPal?
Yes. PayPal is available for eligible purchases. When your order qualifies, PayPal shows as a payment option at checkout alongside cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Can I pay for SeatGeek tickets with Affirm?
Yes, on eligible orders. Select Affirm where you would normally choose a card, then finish the loan approval on Affirm's website. Orders under $50, events abroad and paper or shipped tickets are ineligible. Loan payments are made through Affirm.
Does SeatGeek charge fees?
Yes. SeatGeek uses all-in pricing, so the price on the event page already includes mandatory service and marketplace fees. Taxes, shipping and any optional add-ons are added at checkout. All sales are final, and fees are generally refunded only under SeatGeek's Buyer Guarantee.
Can I split a SeatGeek order between two cards?
No. Each order is paid with one payment method. You can save several cards to your account and pick one at checkout, and one eligible promo code can be combined with it.
Why does my SeatGeek order say pending?
Pending means the seller is confirming they can fulfill the order. Most orders are confirmed or canceled within 24 hours, and SeatGeek emails each update. You can check the status anytime in the Tickets section of your account.
