02

Open your profile, then Payments

In the Taco Bell app or on tacobell.com, tap the circular profile icon at the top of the homepage, tap Payments, then tap the + next to My Credit Cards.

03

In Taco Bell stores, add the Halocard to Apple Pay or Google Pay and tap, or use the physical card from your plan.

Tips for successful payments at Taco Bell

  • AcceptedCheck that the restaurant takes app orders before you pay. Web and mobile ordering is only available at participating Taco Bell locations.
  • AcceptedHave the card number, expiry date, name on the card and billing address ready. Taco Bell's terms ask for all four to complete an order.
  • AcceptedEnter the billing name and address exactly as they appear on your Halocard.
  • AcceptedSet the card limit above the full amount plus the hold Taco Bell places when you pay. Taco Bell says the hold is usually released within 3 to 5 business days, depending on your bank.

Why do Taco Bell payments decline?

A second charge after changing the pickup location
Changing the pickup location or cancelling and reordering submits the order again and creates a temporary duplicate charge. Wait for the pending order to settle with your bank, and you are charged only for the order.
Order not accepted after checkout
Taco Bell can decline an order and may verify your payment details first. Check the card number, expiry date, name on the card and billing address, then order again or message Taco Bell through its contact page.
Charged incorrectly for an order
Check first whether it is a temporary authorization hold, which is not a charge and is usually released within 3 to 5 business days. If you were charged incorrectly, reach out to Taco Bell through its contact page.

Taco Bell payment FAQ

Does Taco Bell accept Apple Pay?
Taco Bell lists digital wallets among its payment methods, in restaurants and in the app, without naming them. Apple announced in January 2019 that Apple Pay was rolling out to more than 7,000 Taco Bell locations. In the app or on tacobell.com you can also save a credit or debit card under Payments in your profile.
Does Taco Bell take EBT?
Only in restaurants, and only at select locations in Arizona, California and Michigan. Taco Bell Cantina locations do not accept EBT. App orders are paid with debit or credit cards, Taco Bell Gift Cards or eGift Cards, or digital wallets.
Can I pay with a Taco Bell gift card?
Yes. Taco Bell Gift Cards and eGift Cards pay for orders in restaurants, in the app and on tacobell.com. In the app you choose pickup or delivery and pay with your saved payment method or gift card.
Why is there a temporary charge from Taco Bell on my card?
An app or online order may place a temporary authorization hold to confirm the account is active and has funds. It is not a charge yet, and Taco Bell says these holds are usually released within 3 to 5 business days, depending on your bank.
How do I cancel or get a refund on a Taco Bell order?
To cancel, tap Cancel Order in the Order Tracker and confirm; a refund is triggered once it goes through, but not once the food is being prepared. For other problems with an app order, open My Orders and select Need Help. Refunds go back to the payment method used, and Taco Bell's terms say to allow at least four weeks.
