Tips for successful payments at Walmart

  • AcceptedThe whole order fits on one card. Walmart does not let you split an order across two debit or credit cards.
  • AcceptedType your name as the card issuer has it, including a suffix such as Jr. or Sr. A mismatch makes Walmart refuse to save the card.
  • AcceptedEnter the billing name and address exactly as they appear on your Halocard.
  • AcceptedSet the card limit above the full amount plus the hold Walmart places when you pay. The hold can be more than the final total, and your bank can take up to 10 days after the order is complete to release it.

Why do Walmart payments decline?

The card is declined when you try to save it
Check that the name and billing address match the card issuer's records exactly. A missing suffix such as Jr. or Sr., or a missing apartment or unit number, is enough to cause it.
Walmart will not accept your ZIP code
Enter the ZIP code and billing address the card issuer has on file, then try again. If it still fails, Walmart suggests another payment method or a call to the card issuer.
