How to pay for 7-Eleven with Halocard

Create a card for 7-Eleven in Halocard

In your Halocard dashboard, create a new card, name it 7-Eleven and set a limit that covers what you are about to pay.

Add the card under Account, then Payment Methods

In the 7-Eleven app, tap the Account icon at the top right, then Payment Methods. Tap Add Payment Method, choose credit or debit card, enter the card details and billing address, and tap Add. You can also do this from the checkout screen.

In 7NOW, manage cards under Transaction Methods

In the 7NOW app, saved cards sit in the Transaction Methods section of the Account tab. To change a card's details, delete it and enter it again.

Put Gold Pass on the card under Plan Details

In the 7-Eleven or 7NOW app, tap the Account icon, then 7-Eleven Gold Pass. Scroll to Plan Details, tap the current payment method and follow the prompts.

Paying in a 7-Eleven store

In 7-Eleven stores, add the Halocard to Apple Pay or Google Pay and tap, or use the physical card from your plan.

Tips for successful payments at 7-Eleven

AcceptedPay for a 7NOW order in the app when you place it. 7-Eleven cannot take payment for a mobile order at the store or restaurant you order from.
AcceptedEnter the billing name and address exactly as they appear on your Halocard.
AcceptedSet the card limit above the full amount plus the hold 7-Eleven places when you pay. 7NOW holds the order total when you order and charges the card once the order is out for delivery.
AcceptedLeave room on the card for the next renewal, or the 7-Eleven plan lapses.

Why do 7-Eleven payments decline?

An error message appears when you submit an order: If you do not see the Order Received status, the order did not go through. Place it again.
PayPal or Venmo is missing at checkout: PayPal and Venmo are not supported at select stores. Confirm the delivery or pickup address on the Order screen to check, or pay with a card instead.
A 7NOW order shows two charges: This is most likely a pending charge, which usually disappears within 2 to 3 business days. If it stays, contact Customer Support in the app.
An order was cancelled but a charge remains: Sometimes a store cannot process an order. The pending charge goes away in 2 to 3 business days; if it does not, contact Customer Support in the app.

Can I use EBT on 7NOW delivery?

Yes, for SNAP eligible items. Add the card in the app under Account, then Payment Methods, and choose EBT under Add Payment Method. Cash EBT is not accepted in the 7-Eleven or 7NOW app. Pay for the rest of the order with a credit or debit card, 7-Eleven Cash or the 7-Eleven Wallet; SNAP EBT cannot be combined with Apple Pay, Google Wallet, PayPal or Venmo.

Does 7-Eleven take Apple Pay?

Yes. 7-Eleven began accepting Apple Pay and Google Pay for contactless payments at participating stores in September 2018. In the app, Apple Pay and Google Pay can also pay for 7-Eleven Gold Pass and load the 7-Eleven Wallet.

Does 7-Eleven accept American Express?

Yes. The 7-Eleven and 7NOW help centres list Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, JCB and Diners Club as the cards they accept.

How do I use a 7-Eleven gift card in the app?

Move it into the 7-Eleven Wallet first. Open Manage Wallet, choose Redeem 7-Eleven Gift Card and enter the 16-digit number on the back. Then select Wallet as the payment method at checkout.

What is the 7-Eleven Wallet?

A payment balance in the 7-Eleven app for participating stores, fuel and mobile orders. Load it with a credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, a 7-Eleven gift card or cash at the register. It cannot buy lottery tickets, gift cards or money orders. There are no loading or transaction fees. Setting it up takes at least $10, and the balance cannot exceed $1,000 in a single day.
