How to pay for Temu with Halocard

Create a card for Temu in Halocard

In your Halocard dashboard, create a new card, name it Temu and set a limit that covers what you are about to pay.

Add the card on your Temu payment methods page

Open the payment methods page in your Temu account and add a new credit or debit card. Enter the card number, expiry date, security code and billing address.

Pick the card under Payment methods at checkout

Start a checkout, select the saved card under Payment methods, check the total and submit the order.

Finish any 3D Secure check

If a 3D Secure screen appears, follow the instructions and enter the one-time code sent by text or email to complete the payment.

Tips for successful payments at Temu

  • AcceptedTemu applies any Temu Credit balance automatically and charges the card for the rest. Check the credit line at the bottom of the checkout page before you pay.
  • AcceptedSave the card on Temu's payment methods page, where you can add, remove or edit a card before checkout.
  • AcceptedEnter the billing name and address exactly as they appear on your Halocard.
  • AcceptedSet the card limit above the full amount, including any hold Temu places at checkout.

Why do Temu payments decline?

Card information is incorrect
Confirm the card number, expiration date, billing address and security code, then place the order again.
The card issuer declined the payment
Contact the bank that issued the card. Temu says only the issuer can explain this decline.
A technical error at checkout
If the details are right, try checking out in another browser or pay with another method.
PayPal will not complete the payment
PayPal's own security checks can stop a payment to a merchant. Contact PayPal customer service or pay with another method.

Does Temu accept PayPal?
Yes. PayPal is on Temu's list of accepted payment methods, and PayPal Pay Later is listed with its buy now, pay later options. To save PayPal, start a checkout, choose PayPal under Payment methods, tick Remember my PayPal account details and submit the order. Temu saves the account once the payment succeeds.
Does Temu accept Cash App or Venmo?
Yes. Temu's payment methods article lists Cash App Pay and Venmo, alongside PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and major credit and debit cards.
Does Temu take Afterpay or Klarna?
Yes. Temu lists Klarna pay in 4, Afterpay, Affirm and PayPal Pay Later as its buy now, pay later services.
Why is there a pending Temu charge after a failed payment?
When you place an order, Temu asks your bank to confirm the card, and that authorization hold shows as pending. It is not a charge. If the payment fails or the order is canceled, the hold is removed automatically, usually in 3 to 6 business days. Temu cannot remove it sooner; only your bank can.
What does a Temu charge look like on my statement?
Most banks show TEMU.COM, sometimes followed by a reference number or a city or country code. Some show WH*TEMU or Whaleco Inc., the Delaware company that runs Temu.
