Open Your Account on Scribd.com or Everand.com
Sign in on the website in a web browser. Click the account icon at the top right, choose Your Account, and under Subscription select Start your free trial.

Enter the card, or pick PayPal or Google Pay
Enter your credit or debit card details, or choose PayPal or Google Pay as your payment method. Scribd asks for payment details at signup but charges nothing until the free trial ends.

Change the card later in Membership & Payment Details
On Scribd.com, go to Your Account, scroll to Membership & Payment Details and select Update Payment Details. On Everand.com, open Your account and select Manage this payment under Payment information.

Tips for successful payments at Scribd
- AcceptedKeep up to three payment methods in Your Account. Scribd charges the one marked preferred and falls back to the others if a renewal does not go through.
- AcceptedChoose how you want to pay when you first subscribe. Moving between the App Store, Google Play, PayPal, Venmo and a card means cancelling and subscribing again at current prices.
- AcceptedEverand is a separate subscription from Scribd and Slideshare, so add the card on Everand.com for Everand and on Scribd.com for Scribd or Slideshare.
- AcceptedEnter the billing name and address exactly as they appear on your Halocard.
Why do Scribd payments decline?
- Your subscription is on hold
- Scribd could not process your last payment, usually because the card expired, was replaced or had insufficient funds. Update the payment method in your account settings and the subscription resumes once the charge succeeds.
- A renewal payment is declined
- You have four days to give Scribd a new payment method before the subscription may be cancelled. Add a working card as your preferred method, or keep a backup on file.
- Billing country does not match the card
- Scribd requires your billing country to match the country of your payment method. Enter the billing address that belongs to the card and try again.

What is the Scribd charge on my card?
Scribd, Inc. bills subscriptions to Scribd, Everand and Slideshare, so all three can show as Scribd or Scribd, Inc. on your statement. Scribd, Inc. is the company behind Everand and the merchant of record for it. To match a charge to your account, open Your Account on the website, find Payment information and select View history.
Why is there a pending Scribd charge during my free trial?
When you enter a payment method, Scribd runs a temporary check that the card is active and valid. No money is taken. It shows as a pending item such as TEMPORARY AUTH SCRIBD or SCRIBD INC *TEMPORARY and usually disappears within three to five business days, sometimes longer.
Does Scribd accept PayPal?
Yes. Scribd takes PayPal in most countries for Scribd, Everand and Slideshare. Venmo is offered only when you start a new subscription. PayPal and Venmo hold your card or bank details, so you change those with PayPal or in the Venmo app, not on your Scribd account.
How much does Everand cost?
Everand has three plans: Standard at $11.99 a month with 1 unlock, Plus at $16.99 with 3 unlocks and Deluxe at $28.99 with 5 unlocks. Every plan includes the full catalog of audiobooks and ebooks. Everand is billed separately from Scribd and Slideshare and does not include them.
How do I cancel Scribd so I am not charged again?
Cancel in your account settings on the website before the renewal date. If you subscribed in the App Store or Google Play, cancel there, because cancelling on the website does not stop those charges. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for, and fees are not refundable.
