Tips for successful payments at Sam's Club
- AcceptedKeep one valid payment method saved. An active membership needs a saved or default payment method on file, so add the new card before you delete the old one.
- AcceptedIf the Sam's Club app will not save changes to a card, update it on the website instead. Clearing cookies and restarting the device also helps.
- AcceptedOn a SamsClub.com order, combine one credit or debit card with Sam's Cash and up to 5 gift cards.
- AcceptedChoose SNAP EBT at checkout for Curbside Pickup or Delivery from Club orders. EBT cards with more than 16 digits work in the app and at the registers.

Does Sam's Club accept EBT?
Yes. Sam's Club accepts SNAP EBT for club purchases, Scan & Go, and Curbside Pickup and Delivery from Club orders. You must be a member to use SNAP at Sam's Club. EBT cannot be used for D2H purchases.
Does Sam's Club take Mastercard?
Yes. Sam's Club accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover credit cards in the club and on SamsClub.com, drawn on accounts with a physical billing address. Debit cards and Sam's Club credit are accepted too. International credit cards are not accepted in the club or online.
Does Sam's Club accept PayPal?
No. Sam's Club's accepted payment methods article says it does not accept PayPal. Pay with a credit or debit card, Sam's Cash, a gift card or SNAP EBT instead.
Does Sam's Club accept Apple Pay or Google Pay?
Sam's Club began adding Tap to Pay at select clubs on 24 August 2026. It works with an eligible contactless card, phone or smartwatch at checkout, and Walmart plans to bring it to all clubs by the end of 2026. This covers paying in the club.
How do I pay for a Sam's Club membership?
Renew online with accrued Sam's Cash, a card on file or a new card. You can also renew at the Membership Desk or at checkout in any club, by phone at 888-746-7726, or by chat. Club membership is $60 a year and Plus is $120.
