How to pay for ESPN with Halocard

01

In your Halocard dashboard, create a new card, name it ESPN and set a limit that covers what you are about to pay.

02

Choose ESPN Select or ESPN Unlimited

Open the ESPN sign-up page in a browser and choose ESPN Select, ESPN Unlimited or the Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited bundle, monthly or annual. Create an account or log in with your MyDisney account.

03

Enter your payment information

Enter the card number, expiry date, security code and billing address, then confirm the subscription. ESPN charges the card when you confirm and at the start of each billing period.

04

Switch the card on an existing plan

Log in on the ESPN website or app and open your ESPN subscriptions. Select Manage Subscription, then Update Payment, and follow the on-screen steps to enter the new card.

Tips for successful payments at ESPN

  • AcceptedSign in with your MyDisney account before you pick a plan. ESPN asks you to create or log in to that account before you enter payment details.
  • AcceptedAt the payment step you can save the card to MyDisney Wallet. The card marked with a checkmark is the one ESPN charges.
  • AcceptedMoving from Select to Unlimited takes effect at once and charges a prorated amount, so leave room on the card for that charge.
  • AcceptedIf Apple, Google or Roku bills your current ESPN plan, change the payment with them. ESPN cannot update it.

Why do ESPN payments decline?

Billing information does not match
Check that the card number, security code and expiry date were entered correctly, then try the payment again.
Billing address is in a different country or region
ESPN refuses a card billed to an address outside the country where you subscribe. Use a card whose billing address is in that country.
Card has insufficient funds
Make sure the card has enough available to cover the plan price and any authorization hold, then update the payment and try again.
Account is on a billing hold
After several failed charges the plan stays active but cannot stream. Update the card under Manage Subscription, then Update Payment, to start watching again.

ESPN payment FAQ

What happened to ESPN+?
ESPN+ content now sits inside ESPN's two plans. Existing ESPN+ subscribers were converted to ESPN Select and keep the same ESPN+ content. ESPN Unlimited includes ESPN+ plus all ESPN networks, such as ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, ACC Network and NFL Network.
How much do ESPN Select and ESPN Unlimited cost?
ESPN's plans and prices article, read in October 2026, lists ESPN Select at $13.99 a month or $139.99 a year and ESPN Unlimited at $31.99 a month or $319.99 a year. Anyone who subscribed before August 20, 2026 keeps the old price until the first billing date after September 17, 2026.
How do I update my payment method on ESPN?
Log in on the ESPN website or app, go to your ESPN subscriptions, select Manage Subscription and then Update Payment, and enter the new card. If you use MyDisney Wallet, open Account, then Subscription Details, and select Change on the Payment Method line to add or edit a card.
Can I pay for ESPN with a gift card?
Only for a bundle. ESPN Fan Support says Disney+ Gift Cards and Disney Gift Cards can buy any bundle subscription billed by Disney, such as Disney+, Hulu and ESPN. The payment methods article for standalone ESPN Select and ESPN Unlimited lists cards and PayPal only.
Can I cancel my ESPN subscription at any time?
Yes. You keep access until the end of the current billing cycle and are not charged again. ESPN does not refund or credit partly used billing periods. Cancel from your profile under Manage Subscription; if Apple, Google or Roku bills you, cancel with them instead.
