What is Halocard?

A US-issued Visa credit card that works like a debit card, with a separate virtual card for each merchant you pay. Lock a card to pause a subscription, or cancel it so the merchant can no longer charge that number.

How to pay for Disney+ with Halocard

Create a card for Disney+ in Halocard

In your Halocard dashboard, create a new card, name it Disney+ and set a limit that covers what you are about to pay.

Choose a plan on DisneyPlus.com

Go to DisneyPlus.com in a web or mobile browser, pick a Disney+ plan or bundle, then enter your email address and create a password.

Enter the card and select Agree & Subscribe

Enter the card details and your birthdate, review the terms and select Agree & Subscribe. Disney+ charges the card when you confirm the purchase and at the start of each billing period.

Change the card on an existing plan

Sign in on DisneyPlus.com and select your Profile, then Account. Under Subscription, select your plan, select Change on the Payment Method line, enter the new card and select Save Changes.

Tips for successful payments at Disney+

AcceptedAdd or change the card on DisneyPlus.com: select your Profile, then Account, then your subscription, and use Change on the Payment Method line.
AcceptedIf the card sits in MyDisney Wallet, keep only cards you want charged there. When the default card expires or goes into a billing hold, Disney+ may bill another card from the wallet.
AcceptedIf a partner such as Hulu, Verizon or Spectrum bills your plan, change the payment method with that partner, not on Disney+.
AcceptedEnter the billing name and address exactly as they appear on your Halocard.

Why do Disney+ payments decline?

"We could not complete your payment request using the card information you supplied.": Re-enter the card number, security code, expiry date and billing ZIP code exactly as they appear, then try again or use another payment method.
The billing address is in a different country: Disney+ does not accept international cards and needs a billing address in the country where you subscribe. Use a card billed to an address there.
A VPN was on while you entered payment details: Turn the VPN off, reload the page and enter the card again.
A renewal charge was not authorized: Disney+ may retry the card, bill another saved method you agreed to, or suspend the plan. Update the card on your Account page before the next billing date.

How do I change my payment method on Disney+?

Go to DisneyPlus.com in a browser and sign in. Select your Profile, then Account, and under Subscription select your Disney+ plan. On the Payment Method line select Change, choose a card or digital payment, or a card from MyDisney Wallet, then select Save Changes. If a partner bills you, change it on the partner's site.

Does Disney+ accept PayPal?

Yes. PayPal is one of three digital payment methods Disney+ lists, with Apple Pay and Cash App. If a PayPal payment is not accepted, Disney+ suggests logging in to PayPal and checking the preferred payment method under Settings, then Payments.

Can I pay for Disney+ with a gift card?

Yes, for monthly plans. Disney+ gift cards are issued by Disney Gift Card Services, Inc. and their credit applies to monthly Disney+ or Disney Bundle subscriptions bought directly on disneyplus.com. Any other purchase needs a credit card or another payment method Disney+ accepts.

Can I pay for Disney+ through Apple or Google Play?

Not as a new subscriber. Disney+ says new and returning subscribers can no longer sign up and pay through Apple or Google, and points them to DisneyPlus.com. Existing Apple-billed and Google-billed plans continue and are managed with Apple or Google. Apple Pay is still listed as a payment method on DisneyPlus.com.

How do I pay for the Disney+, Hulu, HBO Max Bundle?

New subscribers open the bundle signup page on DisneyPlus.com, pick the With Ads or No Ads plan, enter payment details and select Agree & Subscribe, then activate HBO Max separately. Current Disney+ subscribers billed directly can switch from the Account page. There is no free trial and you must be 18 or older.
