A US-issued Visa credit card for customers in the US and 120+ countries, funded by card, bank or crypto

Crypto-funded Visa and Mastercard numbers for media buyers

A Kripicard banking partner locked customer balances in February 2026, and it's unclear whether everyone has been refunded

In February 2026, one of Kripicard's banking partners locked a portion of customer balances, and reviewers still reported unrefunded funds in late April 2026. Kripicard began refunding in phases in May and says the large majority of cases have closed with funds returned, but we found no confirmation that every affected customer has been repaid.

Checked 10 October 2026

Halocard is the better choice than Kripicard for most people funding a virtual card, with a named US issuer, no banned mainstream merchants, and a flat price. Kripicard converts crypto into instant Visa and Mastercard spending, but charges 4% on every load plus $5 and $1 for each card, names neither its issuing banks nor its BIN countries, and is rated 2.6/5 on Trustpilot. Halocard is a US-issued Visa credit card for customers in the US and 120+ countries, for a flat monthly fee from $12, funded by debit/credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfer, stablecoins, or crypto. Kripicard suits crypto-native media buyers who hold many coins and want cards in volume.

Its basic tier asks for an email only, with ID needed for higher limits, while other Kripicard pages say every user is verified. Halocard carries US-issued BINs and registers as credit, satisfying both the issuing-country check and the card-class check that billing systems commonly apply. That combination clears Google Ads, cloud billing, Apple services, and US retail. Kripicard issues both debit and credit BINs across Visa and Mastercard, and the BIN is allocated automatically when the card is created rather than chosen by you. Check merchant acceptance

ACH transfers arrive in 1 to 3 business days and domestic wires the same day, straight into your Halocard balance and ready to spend. Kripicard offers no bank account or routing numbers: cards are funded only from a crypto balance. Send and receive USD payments

Kripicard's usage guidelines prohibit high-risk platforms and name two familiar consumer services, Steam and Uber, outright. Chargeback and refund rates must stay under 15%, zero-dollar authorisations used to activate cards in bulk are forbidden, and other restricted categories may be enforced without notice. Halocard also declines high-risk merchant categories, so neither card is unrestricted. The difference lies in specificity: Kripicard names mainstream services most people actually use, while Halocard settles purchases at both. See Halocard's merchant restrictions

Kripicard's unlimited issuance genuinely suits agencies rotating dozens of cards across campaigns. But every card carries $5 to issue, $1 to process and a $10 opening balance, so a hundred cards means $600 in fees before a cent reaches a merchant. Halocard bundles its card count into the subscription, so the next card is free once you are on the right plan. Compare Halocard plans

Kripicard advertises no monthly fee, and that claim is accurate as far as it goes: the cost lives in the loading mechanics instead, 4% on every deposit for as long as you use the service, plus $5 and $1 per card. Its fees on $300 of top-ups in a month equal Halocard's entire Essential subscription, and $2,000 a month costs about $80. Halocard's subscription is fixed and US-dollar purchases carry no fee, so heavier use pushes your effective rate down; its funding fees depend on the method and are shown before you confirm a deposit. Kripicard's zero FX fee is a real advantage for non-dollar spending. See all Halocard fees

Both shield your real payment credentials from merchants, but they build trust on different foundations. Kripicard's protections lean on infrastructure claims: 3-D Secure 2, two-factor authentication on every login, and fraud monitoring. Halocard's lean on card-level configuration: limits on each card, instant locking or cancellation, single-use cards on annual plans, and a custom billing address on every card, which is often the difference between approval and refusal where a platform checks the address. Why people choose Halocard over Kripicard

Verifiable structure, lower counterparty risk

Halocard LLC is US-incorporated and registered with FinCEN, with cards issued by Third National. Kripicard doesn't name its issuing partners or BIN countries, and a banking partner locked part of its customers' balances in February 2026.

Merchant coverage without category bans

Kripicard's terms prohibit Steam and Uber by name and cap your chargeback and refund rate at 15%. Halocard applies its own high-risk exclusions, but settles purchases at both.

Predictable cost at any volume

Kripicard's 4% applies to every deposit, forever. Halocard's plan is fixed and US-dollar purchases carry no fee, so past $300 of monthly top-ups, Kripicard costs more than Halocard's Essential plan.

More ways to fund

Fund with debit/credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfer, stablecoins, or crypto. Crypto is one option, not the only one.

A billing address on every card

Nominate any billing address and cardholder name on each card, in the US or anywhere else, for platforms that check them.

Key drawbacks of Kripicard

Loading is where the money goes

$5 to issue, $1 to process and 4% of every load mean the first $100 you put on a card costs about $10.

Mainstream merchants banned

Steam and Uber appear by name on its prohibited list, and the terms warn that other restricted categories may not be announced in advance.

Unnamed issuers, frozen balances

Kripicard doesn't name the banks that issue its cards, and in February 2026 a banking partner locked a portion of customer balances, refunded in phases.

A poor review record

Rated 2.6/5 from 24 reviews, most of them one star, about deposits not arriving and refunds delayed.

About Halocard

Halocard sells one thing and sells it plainly. Halocard is a US-issued Visa credit card for customers in the US and 120+ countries, read as a credit card by merchant systems, which lifts authorisation rates and smooths recurring charges. Halocard works like a debit card: you spend the balance you load, with no credit line and no credit check.

Halocard LLC is a US company registered with FinCEN as a Money Services Business (BSA ID 31000317046430), and its cards are issued by Third National, a Non-Bank Principal Member of the Visa Network. Fund your balance by debit/credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfer, stablecoins, or crypto. Outside the US? You don't need an SSN, a US address or a US bank account.

About Kripicard

Kripicard sits inside a much broader crypto commerce operation, run by Uweb3 Management BR under Brazilian law, with its headquarters listed in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro, and a US address in Dover, Delaware. Alongside cards, the company runs a gift card marketplace, crypto-funded eSIM data plans, a developer API, a white label programme, a reseller scheme, and $KRIPI, its own utility token on Solana.

Kripicard cards are Visa or Mastercard numbers loaded from crypto, marketed heavily to media buyers paying for Facebook, Google and TikTok ads. Kripicard says they are issued by licensed partners in their respective jurisdictions, without naming them, and claims availability in 190+ countries.

Halocard vs Kripicard FAQ

What is the difference between Kripicard and Halocard?
Kripicard issues crypto-funded Visa and Mastercard numbers, charging per card and per deposit, with Steam and Uber prohibited and unnamed issuing partners. Halocard is a US-issued Visa credit card for customers in the US and 120+ countries, for a flat monthly fee, funded by card, bank transfer, stablecoins or crypto, with a published FinCEN registration and a named issuer.
What are the best alternatives to Kripicard?
The right Kripicard alternative depends on what pulled you toward it. If stablecoin funding was the draw, Halocard accepts stablecoins and crypto while adding bank transfer and card funding. If unlimited card issuance was the draw, look at providers built for agency-scale media buying. If you simply wanted a card without a bank account, Halocard requires no credit check and no bank account.Read the best virtual card providers
Can I get a crypto virtual card without a bank account?
Yes, with either provider. Kripicard requires no bank account and funds entirely from crypto. Halocard also works without a bank relationship, since stablecoin and crypto deposits are accepted, and it adds bank transfer and card funding for anyone who wants them later.
What are the risks of crypto-funded virtual cards?
The risks are largely operational rather than technical. Your balance sits with the provider, so a suspension can strand funds you have already deposited; loading fees are charged going in and are typically not returned; conversion spreads can apply in both directions; merchant category bans may be enforced retroactively, in Kripicard's case without notice; and chargeback rate ceilings can trigger termination even where individual disputes were legitimate.
Can a virtual card be traced?
Yes, as with any regulated card. Issuers know who holds each account, retain transaction records, and comply with lawful requests and anti-money-laundering duties. What a virtual card prevents is merchants and data brokers receiving your genuine card details.
What should I check when comparing virtual card providers?
Find the named issuing bank and BIN country, and a company registration you can look up. Add up the total cost of loading (issuance, funding percentage, processing and conversion) and work out where a percentage fee overtakes a flat subscription for your spending. Read the banned merchant list, measure the caps against your largest planned purchase, check for a custom billing address, how you withdraw money, what identity data is kept, and what the complaints are about: objections to price and objections to missing funds are not the same problem.
Does Halocard require an SSN?
Outside the US? You don't need an SSN, a US address or a US bank account. Halocard runs no credit check: Halocard never reports to credit bureaus. Verification takes under 3 minutes, and Halocard doesn't store your ID documents, which are held by its verification provider as banking laws require.
Is Halocard available in my country?
Halocard is a US-issued Visa credit card for customers in the US and 120+ countries. Check the current list before you sign up.See supported countries
