RedotPay is a stablecoin-based card and wallet app that spends crypto at merchants on major card networks. What merchant category (MCC) is RedotPay?

6051Non-financial institutions: foreign currency, money orders, crypto and quasi-cash
Crypto and quasi-cash purchases are classified as high-risk purchases by Visa and our issuing bank, so payments to merchants in this category will be declined by Halocard. See Halocard's merchant restrictions.

Why Halocard cannot be used at RedotPay

RedotPay is charged under the crypto and quasi-cash purchases category, which Visa and our issuing bank classify as high-risk, so Halocard declines payments to it on every card. This is a Halocard rule, not a RedotPay rule.

  • Buy coins in the app with a credit or debit card from your own bank.

RedotPay payment FAQ

What is RedotPay?
RedotPay is a stablecoin-based payment app. It issues virtual and physical cards that convert your crypto to local currency at the moment you pay, at any merchant that takes major card networks. It supports BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL, SUI, TRX, XRP, USDT and USDC, and is available in over 100 countries.
How much does a RedotPay card cost?
RedotPay charges a one-time issuance fee of 10 USD for a virtual card and 100 USD for a physical card. The fee comes out of your account balance when the card is issued and is not added to what you can spend. The 5 USD sign-up reward cannot be used toward it.
How do I top up RedotPay?
Tap Deposit in the app and send crypto from another wallet or exchange, or send a bank transfer from a personal account to the account details shown in the app. You can also tap Buy Coins and pay with a credit or debit card; the crypto usually arrives within 0.5 to 2 hours. RedotPay charges no fee to deposit.
Can I send money from PayPal to RedotPay?
Yes, in selected countries. Start a transfer in PayPal and choose your RedotPay card as the recipient. RedotPay converts the funds to USDT and credits your balance. The standard fee is 3%, with a 1 USD minimum.
Can I use my RedotPay card to buy crypto?
No. RedotPay says its own cards can't be used to buy crypto in the app. Use a card from another bank on the Buy Coins screen, or deposit crypto directly.
