How to pay for Priority Pass with Halocard

01

Create a card for Priority Pass in Halocard

In your Halocard dashboard, create a new card, name it Priority Pass and set a limit that covers what you are about to pay.

02

Choose a plan on the Join page

Open the Priority Pass Join page, set your country of residence and pick Standard, Standard Plus or Prestige. Each plan shows its annual fee and its member and guest visit fees before you join.

03

Enter the card and approve your bank's check

Enter the card number, expiry date and security code. Your card issuer may ask for a two-factor check, which Priority Pass needs before it can take later visit and guest fees.

04

Change the card later under My Details

Log in, go to My Details, scroll to Billing Details, enter the new card and select Save. Do it before your next lounge visit.

Tips for successful payments at Priority Pass

  • AcceptedKeep a valid, unexpired card saved under My Details, then Billing Details. Priority Pass charges member visit and guest fees to that card after your visit, and a membership without one can be suspended.
  • AcceptedSettle any outstanding fees before you travel. A lounge turns you away while a payment on your membership is still unpaid.
  • AcceptedCheck the lounge listing for a guest limit before you bring someone. On a plan bought directly, each guest is charged at a flat rate to your saved card.
  • AcceptedEnter the billing name and address exactly as they appear on your Halocard.

Why do Priority Pass payments decline?

Payment failed when joining
Try a different card. If it fails again, ask your card issuer whether a restriction or authorisation block stopped the payment.
Turned away at the lounge over a payment issue
Priority Pass could not take a fee from the card on file. Re-enter the card in the app or on the website, complete your issuer's check, and make sure international and card-not-present payments are allowed.
Outstanding fees on your account
Update the card under My Details, then Billing Details. Priority Pass settles the outstanding fees within a few days, and lounges refuse entry until then.
Card authentication fails on the lounge device
If you cannot finish the two-factor check at the lounge, show your Digital Membership Card instead to confirm your membership.

Priority Pass payment FAQ

How much does Priority Pass cost?
Priority Pass sells three plans directly. Standard is $99 a year and every member visit costs $35. Standard Plus is $329 a year with 10 free member visits, then $35 a visit. Prestige is $469 a year with all member visits free. On every plan, each guest costs $35. Pre-book is offered at some lounges for a small extra fee.
What is the Priority Pass guest fee?
On a plan bought directly from Priority Pass, each guest is charged a flat $35 per visit. If your membership comes with a bank card, the guest fee is set by the card provider and can differ, so ask your issuer. Guest fees go on the payment card linked to your account. Check the lounge listing first, since some lounges limit guests.
What payment methods does Priority Pass accept?
For membership and visit fees, Priority Pass takes Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners Club debit and credit cards. When you pay for a Lounge Pre-Book reservation, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Klarna are offered as well as cards.
Does a Priority Pass membership renew automatically?
Only if you agreed to automatic billing when you joined directly. To stop a renewal, write to Priority Pass within 30 days of the renewal date, and to turn off automatic billing, confirm it in writing at least 6 weeks before your membership expires. On standard billing the membership simply ends unless you ask to renew.
Why was I charged when my credit card includes Priority Pass?
When you enter a lounge with a card benefit, the device may run a pre-authorisation to check the card, and it is released straight away. A real charge usually means guests or visits beyond the free entitlement your card provider sets. Check whether the charge came from Prioritypass.com or from the lounge itself, and ask your card provider about your entitlement.
