What up gang? Today I'm going to walk you through signing up to Halocard in less than 5 minutes.
To begin, start on our website, halocard.co, and click the big green button that says Get Your Halocard. That'll take you to the sign-up page. Enter an email address. That's going to be the address that you use to log into Halocard moving forward.
Here's a bit of an overview of what Halocard virtual cards include. If you want to see a detailed breakdown of each of the specific features, just click on the View All Halocard Features button. I'm going to let you go through that in your own time.
Here we can now go ahead and create our first Halocard. I'm going to give it a name. It's Halocard. I also want to set a transaction limit of $100. And I'm going to change the design to this funky green color.
Now we get to choose our plan. Halocard is not a free service. We do require a paid subscription. If you're a business, you can sign up with a legal entity. For everyone else that wants to use Halocard for personal purposes, we have three different types of plans: Essential, Pro and Elite. The difference being the number of virtual cards that are included.
If you do sign up for a year, so an annual plan, you will also receive access to disposable cards, so single one-time use cards, in addition to the virtual cards that you get, along with a free physical Halocard, which you can have a custom name embossed on the front of, and we'll send that out directly to your home.
Here, what I would like to do is choose the Pro plan. It's probably the best value. Gives me 12 virtual cards for about $30 a month or $150 a year. So, I'm going to go ahead and continue with that. All of our plans have unlimited spending, support Apple and Google Pay, and you can also have a custom name and billing address defined for each of your Halocards.
Okay. Now, we're going to do a quick identity check. We just need to get a handful of details from you. Specifically, your name, your address, your phone number, and also your date of birth. These are going to be used to verify your identity with an external verification provider called Sumsub. And that's really just for legal purposes, so we can make sure that we have a real, legitimate person tied to the Halocard account.
After you've entered your personal details, Visa requires us to collect four more pieces of information: your occupation, annual salary, how you use the card, and your expected monthly spend. They are required by Visa because we're issuing a bona fide virtual credit card.
It's also important to note that all of the information here that you're entering is never saved on the Halocard service. We pass it directly out to our identity verification provider in order to process your identity check. Halocard only ever stores information that's absolutely necessary.
The final step here is to enter your identity document. You can see below we have a number of state identification documents and also national identification documents that can be used, like driver's licenses, passports, resident permits, etc.
If you are a US citizen, we do require your SSN. Again, purely for the purposes of the identity check. There is no credit reporting or sharing of any data with any external parties outside of the issuing bank and the verification provider. If you are not a US resident, the Social Security number field will be replaced with the identification document number. So, that's just the unique number that is on your passport or your driver's license. You'll be able to enter that one here.
Okay. Now, we're going to go ahead and provide our identity document and do a selfie for our identity check. That's the front side. Then I'll do the back side of my driver's license. Okay, that's the first half done. Now, the second half is a selfie, or a liveness check. And that second part just verifies that my face matches what is on my identification document.
Now we've completed the identity check. All we need to do is accept the terms of Halocard and that of our issuing bank. Definitely recommend reading the Halocard terms and also the privacy policy, so you get a better understanding of the legal requirements around the product and exactly how we handle data.
The next step is to deposit funds. In order to activate your Halocards, you just need to deposit funds into your account using any one of these deposit methods. So, you can use a credit card, Apple or Google Pay, stablecoins, crypto. We also have, for our Canadian friends, Interac e-Transfer. And for anyone with a European bank account in euros or pounds, we also support SEPA and UK Faster Payments. In this case, I'm going to do a credit card deposit. I'm going to go ahead and click pay.
And there you have it. Our deposit has been received. Our Halocard account is now active. If you would like your own Halocard and would like to set it up in less than 5 minutes, just go to our homepage and click on the big Get Your Halocard button. Thank you for watching.
