AcceptedHalocard is accepted

Halocard is accepted at Vercel. Vercel takes only credit and debit cards on the Pro plan, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB and UnionPay, and charges in USD. Each invoice is charged automatically at the start of the billing cycle and adds the previous cycle's on-demand usage, so expect more than the $20 platform fee.

How to pay for Vercel with Halocard

01

Create a card for Vercel in Halocard

In your Halocard dashboard, create a new card, name it Vercel and set a limit that covers what you are about to pay.

02

Open your team's Billing settings

In the Vercel dashboard, select your team in the team switcher. Open Settings in the sidebar and select Billing.

03

Add the card under Payment Method

Scroll to Payment Method and select Add new card. Enter the card number, expiry, security code and billing address, then save.

04

Check the invoice email and tax details

In Billing, set the Invoice Email Recipient if invoices should go somewhere other than the first owner's email. Tax is worked out from your billing address, and a VAT ID can be added under the tax ID field.

05

Set an On-Demand Budget

Under Spend Management in Billing, turn the switch on and enter an On-Demand Budget in USD. Turn on Pause Production Deployments if you want usage to stop at that amount.

Tips for successful payments at Vercel

  • AcceptedAdd your card in Settings, Billing before the 14-day Pro trial ends, or the team reverts to Hobby instead of moving to paid Pro.
  • AcceptedAdd the new card before you remove the old one: Vercel requires a new payment method on file before the old one can be removed.
  • AcceptedFill in your billing details and any VAT ID before the next invoice is finalized, because changes only apply to future invoices.
  • AcceptedUse a team member with the Owner or Billing role to turn on Spend Management and set the On-Demand Budget.

Why do Vercel payments decline?

The team is overdue after a renewal charge failed
Vercel marks a team overdue when the card expired, the bank declined the payment, the card was reported lost or stolen, or no card is on file. Add a new payment method in Settings, Billing within 14 days, or all deployments are paused.
The first payment for a new Pro subscription failed
The initial payment must go through within 24 hours. Check the card details, or add another card under Payment Method in Settings, Billing.
A partial invoice could not be charged
Vercel retries the charge and emails the billing contact. Update the card in Settings, Billing, then pay any open partial invoices from Settings, Invoices, because several unpaid partial invoices pause new deployments.

Vercel payment FAQ

How much does Vercel Pro cost?
Pro has a $20 monthly platform fee that includes one deploying seat and $20 of usage credit. Extra seats with the Owner or Member role are $20 a month each, and Viewer seats are free. Usage beyond the credit is billed on demand, and add-ons such as Observability Plus cost extra. Prices are in USD and exclude tax, which is added from your billing address.
When does Vercel charge my card?
At the start of each billing cycle. The invoice covers your seats and add-ons for the next 30 days plus on-demand usage from the previous cycle. You cannot change the billing cycle dates, and Pro is billed monthly only; annual billing needs the Enterprise plan. If usage spikes or crosses an internal threshold, Vercel may charge a partial invoice before the cycle ends.
How does the Vercel Pro trial work?
The trial lasts 14 days and includes $20 of credit, with one trial per user account. It ends early if the team reaches the trial usage limits. To stay on Pro, add a payment method in Settings, Billing, and billing starts as soon as the trial ends. Without a payment method the team returns to Hobby and is not charged.
Does a Vercel spend limit stop charges?
Not on its own. Setting an On-Demand Budget sends alerts at 50, 75 and 100 percent of the amount. Usage only stops if Pause Production Deployments is on, and because Vercel checks spend every few minutes, pausing can lag. The budget does not cover seats, add-ons or Marketplace integrations. New customers get spend notifications at $200 per billing cycle by default.
How do I cancel Vercel Pro?
Select your team, open Settings, choose Billing and click Downgrade Plan in the Plan section to move to Hobby. All active members except the original owner are removed, and connected Stores and Domains must be transferred first. An account can have only one Hobby team, so an existing one must be deleted or merged.
