Tips for successful payments at Throne

Why do Throne payments decline?
- Charged but no confirmation email
- The purchase most likely failed, and the charge is a temporary authorization hold. Check your order history, then wait up to 10 business days for the hold to drop off before you pay again.
- Throne or the checkout page will not load
- Turn off ad blockers, browser extensions and VPNs, then try again. A different browser, device or mobile data instead of Wi-Fi can also help.

Can I keep my real card and address private from Throne?
Yes. Throne only ever sees your Halocard, never your bank card. You choose the cardholder name and billing address on each card, so your real details stay out of Throne's records. If you ever want a clean break, cancel that card and make a new one in seconds.
Will Throne show up on my bank statement?
No. Your Throne purchases, with the merchant name and amount, show only in your Halocard account, never on your bank or card statement. When you add funds by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, your bank sees a single deposit labelled HALOCARD and nothing about where you spend it. What your bank statement shows.
What should I do if Throne declines or doesn't support my card?
Pay with a Halocard instead. Throne accepts it, and as a US-issued Visa credit card held in US dollars it is accepted at checkouts that are strict about card type or country. Can I use a virtual card for Throne?
Yes. Throne accepts Halocard, a US-issued Visa credit card that works like a debit card. Make a card just for Throne and you are in full control: set a limit, lock it or cancel it whenever you like, without ever handing Throne your bank card.
Does Throne accept PayPal?
Yes. PayPal is available to most gifters at checkout. On international orders paid on the Throne website, a PayPal Processing Fee may be added and is shown before you confirm. PayPal sometimes holds a payment for review for around 24 hours. Your order confirmation still arrives right away, and the order continues once PayPal clears it.
What fees does Throne charge at checkout?
The gifter pays all checkout fees. The service fee is 0% on Partner Store products, 7% on physical gifts shipped by Throne and 9.75% on Cash Gifts, Direct Credit and payout items. A payment processing fee of 2.9% plus $0.30 is added on physical gifts, with 1% more for payments not in USD. A full refund includes the fees.
Do I need a Throne account to send a gift?
No. You can check out as a guest. An account lets you track your orders in one place. Your payment details are never shared with the creator, and the creator's address is never shared with you.
Can I get a refund on a Throne gift?
Throne treats every gift as voluntary, so a placed order is not refunded for a change of mind. Its terms say you can request a refund if the order is not placed within 30 business days. A refund shows on your statement within 5 to 10 business days of being issued.
Should I file a chargeback for a Throne gift?
Throne asks you to contact its support first. A chargeback is decided by your bank, not by Throne, and it can freeze the creator's funds and may restrict your account.
