Cape payment FAQ

Can I keep my real card and address private from Cape?
Yes. Cape only ever sees your Halocard, never your bank card. You choose the cardholder name and billing address on each card, so your real details stay out of Cape's records. If you ever want a clean break, cancel that card and make a new one in seconds.
Will Cape show up on my bank statement?
No. Your Cape purchases, with the merchant name and amount, show only in your Halocard account, never on your bank or card statement. When you add funds by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, your bank sees a single deposit labelled HALOCARD and nothing about where you spend it. What your bank statement shows.
What should I do if Cape declines or doesn't support my card?
Pay with a Halocard instead. Cape accepts it, and as a US-issued Visa credit card held in US dollars it is accepted at checkouts that are strict about card type or country. Halocard is available for customers in the US and 120+ countries, so check that your country is supported, then make a card for Cape in minutes. See the countries Halocard supports.
Can I use a virtual card for Cape?
Yes. Cape accepts Halocard, a US-issued Visa credit card that works like a debit card. Make a card just for Cape and you are in full control: set a limit, lock it or cancel it whenever you like, without ever handing Cape your bank card.
How much does a Cape phone plan cost?
Cape is $99 per month with all taxes and fees included. Early adopters who join before December 31, 2026 pay $70 per month for life, applied automatically. Each referral takes $20 a month off the bill for both you and the person you refer.
Can I pay for Cape with Bitcoin?
Cape takes major credit and debit cards today. Its subscription help article says it is working to expand its payment options, including Bitcoin.
Does Cape store my card details?
Cape says no. Payments go through Stripe's SDK straight to Stripe, which stores the card and gives Cape a token for monthly charges. The Cape app shows only the card type, last four digits and expiry date. Cape does not ask for your name or address to process the payment.
Which phones work with a Cape eSIM?
Most recent eSIM compatible phones work, including Google Pixel with GrapheneOS, Samsung, Motorola, OnePlus and iPhone XR or 11 and later. Android phones need Android 13 or later. Cape's online store also sells Google Pixel phones, with 60% off the first year of service up to $500.
